About Courtlands

Centrally situated in historic Grahamstown, Courtlands was built in approximately 1850. This charming old home is the perfect base for exploration of our cultural centre, Frontier Country and The Sunshine Coast.

Being in the midst of the business area and a few minutes walk to the Rhodes University Campus we are a popular stop over for Educational and other Conferences. We are close to The Law Courts, The Magistrate’s Building, Peppergrove Mall, Private Schools, Albany Museums, SAIAB Research Complex and quaint coffee shops & pubs.
